Almut Tropp, DDS
Almut Tropp, DDS is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She has lived and studied all over the world, including Germany, Japan, Singapore, and the Netherlands. She attended dental school at the University of California San Francisco where she was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national dental honor society. She held several leadership positions including president of the Student Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Following dental school, Almut received specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (currently ranked third in the nation). Her training included extensive clinical experience in both sedation and non-sedation dentistry for infants, children, and teenagers as well as medically compromised patients and patients with special needs. She is a member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Her interests include running, hiking, and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
Ken Tasker, DMD
Ken Tasker, DMD, was raised in northern Utah. After spending two years throughout the state of Chihuahua, Mexico doing volunteer service, he graduated with a BS degree from Brigham Young University in Biology. He earned his DMD degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. After dental school he completed his pediatric dental residency with NYU Langone Health in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Tasker has come to love the culture and climate in the Southwest.
He enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Kye Kinzer, DDS
Kye Kinzer, DDS was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Following high school, he attended Texas A&M University where he decided to pursue a career in dentistry while completing his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Kinzer received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and following graduation, moved back to Las Cruces to serve his hometown community.
Dr. Kinzer enjoys archery and spending his free time in the remote backcountry of the rocky mountain west.
Robert Johansen, DDS, Orthodontist
Robert Johansen, DDS Orthodontist (Dr. Rob) grew up in Sandy, UT. He graduated with a BA in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah. After completing his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn a DDS degree from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Rob completed a 1-year General Dental Residency program at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. After practicing for a couple of years as a general dentist in Central Ohio, he decided to further his dental education at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York where he completed a 3-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Rob loves creating beautiful smiles for children and adults alike. He and his family are excited to be calling New Mexico home.
He enjoys reading, hiking, camping, photography, and spending time with his family. He’s also excited to be back in an area where he can speak Spanish again!
Jesse Johnson, DDS
Dr. Jesse Johnson, DDS. was raised in Silver City, NM. He attended the University of New Mexico where he majored in biochemistry and molecular biology before continuing his education at Creighton University's School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Johnson is excited to be back in southern New Mexico, near friends and family and the mountains and forests he loves.
In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys hiking and fly fishing in the Gila Wilderness, wood-working, painting, and drawing.
Dr. Johnson is pleased to make Las Cruces, NM his new home, and is excited to work with the wonderful patients and staff at Las Cruces Children's Dental Clinic.
Alicia Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Alicia Nguyen, DDS. was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of New Mexico. She then continued her education at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Following graduation, she returned to New Mexico where she enjoys big open skies, mountains and beautiful sunsets. Dr. Nguyen is excited to work with the dental staff and excellent team at Children's Dental Clinic in Las Cruces.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking, reading, painting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
